Using Game Consoles for Current Orb Users

Game consoles brings the internet–and your hard drive—to the big screen. You know that Orb running on your PC puts the internet and all your digital media at your fingertips. And those fingertips could be on your keyboard at work. Or on your smart phone. Or anywhere you have a browser and a streaming media player.

Now you can have that same experience in your living room in front of that big screen TV. Imagine those You- Tube videos as large as life. Your vacation pictures big enough for everyone to see. And your music collection playing on your home theater system.

Nothing New to Buy

Just connect your game console to the TV. No other boxes or subscriptions are necessary.

Nintendo Wii

You already have an Orb account on your PC. Now with Wii’s Opera browser you can access the internet and all your media.

(Note: You need to be running Orb version 2.00.0814 or later. If not, you will need to download the latest version.)

1. Check your Orb version number in the Orb tray icon > About on your Orb PC. (must be version 2.00.0814 or later.)
2. From your Wii Opera Browser, go to– mycast.orb.com
3. Enter your Orb login and password

Sony PS3

Since you already have an Orb account on your PC, you are ready to watch all your digital media on your TV. (Note: You need to be running Orb version 2.00.0814 or later. If not, you will need to download the latest version.)

1. Check your Orb version number in the Orb tray icon > About on your Orb PC. (must be version 2.00.0814 or later.)
2. From the PS3 main menu, select Internet Browser
3. Go to– mycast.orb.com
4. Enter your Orb login and password

Xbox 360

You already have an Orb account on your PC. Now you can see all your media files on your TV. Orb now enables you to play any videos from your PC or from the Internet on your TV, via your Xbox 360

(Note: You need to be running Orb version 2.00.0856 or later. If not, you will need to download the latest version.)

1. Check to be sure that your Xbox 360 has the Fall 2006 update.
2. Connect your Xbox 360 to your TV.
3. Go to the ‘Media’ Tab in Xbox 360.
4. Select ‘Music’, ‘Pictures’, or ‘Video’.
5. Select ‘Computer’ from the options menu.
6. Click ‘Yes, continue’ when asked if you have downloaded and installed media sharing software on your computer.
7. Select from the list the computer on which you just installed Orb in Step 1, above.
8. You should see all your media. The default selection is:
   • For Music, the music in your MyDocuments/MyMusic and SharedDocuments/MyMusic folders
   • For Pictures, the photos in your MyDocuments/MyPhotos and SharedDocuments/MyPhotos folders
   • For Videos, the videos in your MyDocuments/MyVideos and SharedDocuments/MyVideos folders

To add or change media folders, click the green Orb tray icon on your computer, then “Configuration”, and select the “Media” tab to add your new folders.

Note; To add Internet TV channels to your ‘Videos’, you must first designate them as Orb Favorites. To do that, go to the TV tab in the ‘Quick Tips’ Guide in mycast.orb.com.
